Expanded Flexible Foam Cutting Capability
- Foam fabrication using water-jet cutting has expanded with the addition of a second water-jet machine.
- This exciting technology has enhanced our formerly foam die cutting area for our open and closed cell flexible foams.
- This process is automatic and programmable. Foam water-jet cutting is environmentally friendly, using only a few cents worth of water per week. Other advantages of this type of foam converting include low-cost prototyping, design change and part cost, along with a consistent appearance with no cutting concavity distortion.
- Foam fabrication up to 7” thickness is available on almost any foam type with very finely detailed accuracy.
- The low tooling cost has eliminated costs ranging to the thousands for many formerly die cut jobs.
Product Line Added
- Custom wood crating and cushioned wood construction containers are a new product line in the protective packaging and foam packaging area.
- This capability was added through the acquisition of Advanced Packaging Concepts, a foam packaging and protective packaging company, formerly located in Chicago, IL
- The wood shop, operating and design personnel were moved to our Madison, WI plant.
- This is an exciting new area for future development in our foam packaging line.
- Recently, a well-known medical company which makes cancer radiation machines was experiencing shipping damage and asked us to quote a redesign of their crating and protective packaging. Not only were we able to reduce packaging cost, we eliminated the damage problem. They have expressed a great deal of satisfaction in our solution to their difficulty.

WISCONSIN FOAM AWARDED COUNCIL POSITION
- Wisconsin Foam Products Inc. has been elected to the council of fabricators for Pregis Inc.
- This prestigious award is given to approximately seven foam fabricators geographically to cover the United States.
- Wisconsin Foam Products is selected to cover the upper Midwest region.
- We look forward to working closely with Pregis in continuing to be one of our polyethylene plank stock suppliers along with marketing the rest of the Pregis product line.
- This position will help us continue as one of the largest distributors of polyethylene foams and plank stock, carrying one of the most complete inventories available to service the protective packaging markets.
Acquisition of Company
- Wisconsin Foam Products Inc. has purchased Advanced Packaging Concepts, Inc. (APC), a foam packaging and protective packaging company, formerly located in Oak Forest, a suburb of Chicago, IL.
- Production has been moved to our Madison, WI plant, with a daily delivery truck operating to the Chicago and Northern Illinois area. The local Chicago sales office is located in Orland Park. The phone number for this location is 708.460.3713.
